Just one kilometre from the town centre, this little village of apartments strikes the perfect balance between away from it all and in the heart of the action. The Cala Ferrera Beach - the golden sandy cove these apartments are named after - is a short hop from the doorstep. And El Vall d'Or golf course is a mere 15-minute drive away.
Setting aside, the pool area is impressive, too. Three good-sized main pools and two children's pools are framed by a terrace with plenty of sunbeds. There's a poolside bar, too. Plus on the activities front there are tennis and volleyball courts, plus there's an entertainment team who organise everything from aqua aerobics to West End-style shows.
As for the property itself, it's been refurbished from top to bottom to bring it right up to date. A wall of windows has been added to the main building, so all the public spaces have uninterrupted views of the coast. The apartments are simple but stylish with whitewashed walls, chunky wood furniture and floral linens. And they come with a satellite TV and a well-equipped kitchen. The hotel rooms, meanwhile, are minimalist, with walnut-effect woodwork and a cream-on-cream colour scheme. What's more, they all have a balcony or terrace that makes the most of the early morning sun.
Factor in a terrace cafe, a cocktail bar and a re-vamped restaurant which combines big buffets with sea views, and it's easy to see why guests keep coming back year after year.
