Can Oreano 1

Peaceful. Picturesque. Pretty. The Oreano is a Majorcan delight. Sitting in a secluded spot, it's surrounded by cushiony-green woodlands and gorgeous mountainous scenery. But although it gloriously feels like the end of the line here, you're not far off the beaten track. Take a brisk walk along the country lanes and you can be in the lovely old town of Pollensa in 30 minutes. And the same time in the car takes you to the seaside resort of Puerto Pollensa where you'll find a lovely half-moon sweep of sands.

Once you set eyes on the Oreano though, you'll probably put thoughts of going out on hold. Encircled by trees, this quaint semi-detached villa is delightfully traditional. You'll certainly feel like one of the locals here. Full of old-world charm, it sits within attractive gardens which are full of colourful flowers, lush lawns and fruit trees. Taking pride of place out here is the private rectangular-shaped pool, flanked by sun beds and parasols. There's also a barbeque and lovely beamed terrace area, perfect for al fresco meals. And if you follow the walkway, overhung with wild climbers, you'll find a well.

Step inside and you'll find things just as authentic in here. With its low-beamed ceilings, terracotta-tiled flooring and simple furnishings, it's got a real country-cosy ambience. On the open-plan ground floor you'll find a lounge with a wood burning stove and cottage-style sofa. A dining area with a dark wood table for six. And a rustic kitchen with all the mod cons including a washing machine. There's also a double ensuite bedroom. Make your way upstairs and you'll find another double room and a twin. A rural delight, the Oreano is as relaxing as they come.
