An introduction to Eolo
For a good value no-frills holiday in a fabulous location, Eolo fits the bill. This tall Spanish white building decorated with bright green shutters may be a basic 2-star hotel but it is right in the centre of Puerto Pollensa. Despite the basic standard of accommodation, the staff here are friendly and as a family-run traditional hotel, it feels like you're really abroad instead of in another extension of Britain.
Step outside your dwellings and you'll find yourself right on the seafront with views over the picturesque bay. A sailing and fishing quay greet you as well as a beach for sunbathing nearby. Turn inland for the majestic mountains that form the backdrop to this part of the island. And for a guided tour, walk along the promenade in the footsteps of many before on a route known as the 'Pine Walk'. All around, shops, restaurants and cafes line the streets in this picturesque resort.
Back at the hotel, make the most out of the hotel's restaurant – a popular choice for locals and guests alike. In the mornings, sit on the terrace and eat breakfast with some of the best views in town. And come the evening, join the crowds to choose from the extensive dinner menu – offering a tantalizing mix of Italian and Majorcan cuisine.
