Hidden in cushiony-green countryside, the Garinet is a truly serene sanctuary. Sitting at the end of a rural track, it's about as far from the maddening crowd as you can get. But that's not to say you're totally off the beaten track here.

In fact, hop in the car and you're just a few minutes drive from the cutesy village of S'horta, where you'll find a small sprinkling of shops, bars and restaurants. And just ten minutes away is the stylish resort of Cala D'or with its smart marina and sandy coves that are scooped into the coastline.

That's all assuming you'll want to leave the Garinet, of course. A stone farmhouse-style villa with shuttered windows and a terracotta-tiled roof, it's got traditional charm written all over it.

Tucked away in beautiful mature gardens with shady courtyards and swishing trees, make a beeline for the elegant Roman-style pool. Sunk in to a manicured lawn, it's flanked by a huge palm tree, which you can park your sun lounger under when you're in need of some shade. There's also an authentic built-in barbeque area as well as a lovely terrace area with beamed ceilings and a dining table for al fresco meals.

Step inside and you'll fall even more in love with the Garinet. With a cosy, rustic ambience and traditional furnishings throughout, it's all cool tiled floors, exposed stone walls and wood-beamed ceilings. Downstairs, there's a spacious lounge with a comfy corner sofa, satellite television and a DVD player.

A beautiful dining room with seating for six people. And a kitchen with all the mod cons such as a dishwasher. You'll also find a twin ensuite bedroom down here and a further twin and double on the first floor, which are also ensuite. Peaceful. Picturesque. And pretty. Majorcan hideaways don't come any better than the Garinet.
